Yaa Asantewaa Arts and Community Centre (Yaa) provides a platform which initiates, supports and develops cultural and educational arts benefiting diverse communities. It does this through a focused programme of activities including carnival arts, performing arts, youth activities, community events, digital technologies, community development, audiovisual and literature amongst others.  It supports an develops artists and assists them to earn a living through education, practice, performance and the creative industries. With particular regards to Yaa Carnival we actively take part in Notting Hill and other national and international Carnivals each year.  Join Yaa Carnival Group Mas Camp now open weekdays 10am - 10pm and/or take part in Yaa's presentation 'Plantation Politics' for the 2011 Notting Hill Carnival.  Designs to follow will be in the Yaa Carnival section and register for your costume on the website or call Shirley: 07960 763713 or 020 7286 1656.

Yaa's home at 1 Chippenham Mews W9 2AN is currently being refurbished and, with our partners Carnival Village, we are scheduled to re-open our new home - 'The Yaa Centre' - in August 2011.  During this refurbishment period we are temporarily based at Fernhead Road Methodist Church, Fernhead Road, London W9 3AE.
